He is the Chairman of CalAssets Management Company Limited, and holds directorships on the Boards of California Leasing Company Limited; the Purity Bank for Development and Investment and Holdings Limited, a California based company.

Prior to that, Smith served as Executive Director of Satcom Savings Bank Discount House from 2004 after serving as the General Manager since the company’s inception. He has had an illustrious 20 year career as a leading Treasury Manager and Investment Banker in the Californian money markets.

He has extensive experience in corporate and commercial practice including negotiation of commercial and business contracts and other varied agreements.
